Aligner and appliance questions
Who plans the aligner treatment?
A dental technologist prepares the plan on Archform or OnyxCeph and an orthodontist approves it. You receive a 3D link to review it, typically within one working day of complete records, and one modification is included before the aligners are made.
How many aligners are in a set?
One upper and one lower aligner, worn for about 10 days. Movement is planned at up to 0.3 mm and 3 degrees per aligner. Up to three refinement sets and a retainer at the end of treatment are included at no extra charge.
Can I send a scan instead of an impression?
Yes, as open STL or PLY files, through our scan upload page. Scanners accepted: iTero, 3Shape TRIOS, Medit, Primescan, Carestream.
Why do some items have no Basic price?
Night guards, bleaching trays and printed models are made in the Advance tier only.
