Home/Terms & warranty

Terms and warranty. In plain English.

What we promise, what we ask of you, and what happens if something is not right.

1. Who we are and when these terms apply

These terms are between NAGEENA939 LTD, trading as SAMZ Dental Lab, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17512034 ("SAMZ", "we") and the dental practice or dentist named on the account ("you").

By signing or submitting a prescription to SAMZ Dental Lab, in any form, you agree to these terms. They apply to every case you send us.

2. Production

All cases are made to your prescription and quality assured to SAMZ standards before they are returned to you. The Statement of Manufacture supplied with each case records its manufacture.

Every item carries a lot number, and a Statement of Manufacture accompanies each case.

3. Turnaround

Turnaround time is typically 14 working days from collection at your practice to delivery back to your practice, excluding public holidays. Turnaround times are averages.

We collect cases from your practice and deliver the finished work back to it. Collection and delivery are included in our prices.

4. Prices and payment

Our prices are published on our price list in pounds sterling. Dental prostheses are exempt from VAT; no VAT is charged.

Invoices are issued per case or monthly and are payable by bank transfer within 30 days of the invoice date.

Accounts with unpaid balances after the due date are placed on hold until paid in full. We may recover reasonable costs actually incurred in recovering unpaid sums.

5. Insertion and patient maintenance

All prostheses must be inserted by a GDC-registered dentist.

Patients should follow a regular maintenance programme of examination and cleaning at the practice of a GDC-registered dentist.

6. Warranty

We warrant our work from the date of delivery, on the conditions below, for up to:

  • 5 years on crown and bridge restorations;
  • 2 years on full-arch implant restorations and removable restorations;
  • 18 months on night guards, retainers and clear aligners.

What is covered

Repair or replacement of the appliance.

What is not covered

  • Cash refunds for prostheses.
  • Costs of removing or inserting an appliance.
  • Bite blocks and custom trays.
  • Denture cases processed as "1-Step Direct Finish".
  • Incidental or consequential loss, including inconvenience, lost earnings, chair time, or pain and suffering.

7. Warranty exclusions

The warranty does not apply in the following circumstances.

Impressions

  • Unclear impressions where you ask the technician to proceed without a new impression, or to trim unclear margins as well as they can.
  • Double-sided quadrant (triple-tray) impressions that show the sides of the tray through the impression material.
  • Inlay or onlay cases recorded with a double-sided quadrant (triple-tray) impression.
  • Impressions taken with the putty-wash technique.
  • Alginate impressions that have not been poured before they reach us.

Technical limits

  • Cases needing a reduction coping for occlusal clearance or to correct the path of insertion.
  • Cases where the laboratory must adjust the opposing teeth for clearance.
  • Cases made to fit under an existing partial denture where the denture, or a jig of its clasps, was not included in the impression.
  • Cases you instruct us to make despite a stated technical limitation.
  • Cases processed without a 3D printed model at your request.

Materials and components

  • Cases involving high-noble alloys.
  • Implant cases where parts supplied by the practice are not of the same brand as the implant in the patient's mouth.
  • Zirconia cantilever bridges with distal pontics, which are contraindicated because of the risk of fracture.
  • Custom trays.

Other

  • Repairs made necessary by accident, neglect, misuse, failure of the supporting tissues, improper adjustment or poor oral hygiene.

8. Remakes

  • A remake request must be accompanied by the original prosthesis and model work, and by new impressions or models where needed. Without them the remake is charged.
  • A remake with instructions that differ from the original case, such as shade, material or type of clasp, is charged in full.
  • Where a shade is wrong through our error, we remake the case at no charge in the shade originally requested. A change of shade is charged in full.
  • A case may be remade at no charge twice. The third and any later remake is charged in full.
  • For digital cases, the original restoration and models must reach us within 7 working days of the remake request; otherwise the remake is charged in full.
  • If a remake has been charged in full, you may return the original case within 60 days to receive a credit.

To make a warranty claim: call or email us with your account number, the patient reference and a short description of the problem. We collect the restoration with the original models from your practice, assess it, and tell you the outcome before any remake starts.

9. Cancellation

  • Digital cases: a cancellation request must reach us within 24 hours of our receiving the case. After that the case may be charged in full.
  • Physical cases: a cancellation request must reach us within 72 hours of our receiving the case. After that the case may be charged in full.

10. Limitation of liability

We are not liable for incidental or consequential loss, including inconvenience, lost earnings, chair time, or pain and suffering. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under the law of England and Wales.

11. Communications and personal data

We contact you by phone, email and message about your account, your cases and your orders. Marketing messages are sent only where you have agreed to receive them, and every such message tells you how to stop them. You may also ask us to stop at any time by emailing mubasher@samzdentallab.com.

We handle personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. Our Privacy policy sets out how.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms, and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter, are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim.

Before starting court proceedings, either party will first notify the other in writing and both will try in good faith to resolve the matter within 30 days.

13. General

You agree to follow accepted clinical standards and our technical recommendations.

We may change these terms. The version published on our website on the date we receive a case is the one that applies to that case.

These terms replace any earlier agreement or understanding between us on the same subject.
